Document Recovery
When TariffShark processes tariff content it uses a temporary folder on the disk to manage the process. Occasionally the process may fail due to a variety of reasons:
- File used by the background process is locked by another application
- TRV record no longer available
- TariffShark Premier process killed while processing content
If the content processing is interrupted abnormally, when TariffShark is next started, it tries to recover any content and complete the operation automatically without additional user intervention. Any errors are written to the computer's event log.
TIP: If TariffShark cannot start after login, it could be due to TariffShark being unable to properly recover content files in the temp folder. You can ask your TariffShark administrator to manually delete these files ("xxxxxxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxxxxxxxxxx.doc" and "xxxxxxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxxxxxxxxxx.q") to try to resolve the issue. We recommend that you first open the "xxxxxxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxxxxxxxxxx.doc" files in order to review which TRVs might need to be edited again in TariffShark.
