Company
A Company in TariffShark is a FERC-regulated entity for which electronic tariff filings are made. In order to make electronic tariff filings with FERC, a company must be registered. This is not a function of TariffShark but is an important prerequisite. Once registered, FERC will assign a company identifier and a password which are used to make electronic tariff filings.
In TariffShark, you may create a Company only if the company has a valid TariffShark license. The name you enter when creating the Company must exactly match the name in the license. A company can have one of three types of licenses:
- Premier - With a Premier license, all capabilities of TariffShark are available to users when they are working on the company's tariffs.
- Plus - A Plus license provides all of the same capabilities as a Premier license except that tariffs may be decomposed into no more than 20 section or sheets.
- Lite - Under a Lite license, a company's tariffs may not be decomposed into sections or sheets; whole document is the only option. Also, all preparation and editing of tariff content must be done outside of TariffShark. With a Lite license, you must upload the content of your tariffs into TariffShark.
